Citizens Advice Bureau
The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux offers free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a whole range of matters (You can also e-mail the Shetland Bureau).

Multikulti provides information, advice, guidance and learning materials in community languages.
The website aims to support citizenship through the delivery of culturally appropriate and accurately translated information in the areas of welfare law - debt, employment, health, housing, immigration and welfare benefits. Whilst the information applies primarily to England, much of the guidance is useful in Scotland, though you should check the information with the Citizens Advice Agency.

The SHCS is the largest single housing research project in Scotland and the only one which looks at the physical condition of homes as well as interviewing the people who live in them.
