Some people in Shetland rent their home from a private landlord. This can be a quick way of obtaining accommodation and is usually quite flexible. However, it is usually more expensive than renting from our Association or the Council. The choice of properties available at any particular time may be very limited, particularly in the summer months when many are let to visitors.
