To apply for housing, please fill in an application form, which can be downloaded below and printed out. Or if you prefer, you can request an application form and we will send you one in the post. You should note that this form also enables you to apply to the Shetland Islands Council for housing: the leaflet below about the Common Housing Register tells you more about this. Below you will also find a leaflet detailing the locations of Hjaltland housing and details on how housing allocations are dealt with. Please also fill in our application feedback form so we know how we're doing.

Once we have received your application, we will notify you of a group number which best describes your housing need, and your own unique application number.

Then, if you see an available house advertised in the local newspaper or on this website that you are interested in, contact us immediately by phone or using this website.
