This project involves a number of design phases for the different areas on the site. The enabling work commenced in December 23, and will see the main spine road and services constructed ahead of the first housing project scheduled for the summer of 2025.
Berryview Ph2 Scalloway
This project is under construction and it is anticipated completion will be achieved early 2024.
This project will result in the construction of 8 new homes at the North end of the Associations Berryview scheme. The scheme provides various sizes of property and alternative housing options including four propoerties for rent and four available for purchase through the Scottish Governments (NSSE) Shared Equity scheme. The design is an extension of the Berryview scheme and is based around giving the pedestrian priority and utilises traffic calming measures, planted areas, shared surfaces and link paths to create user friendly external spaces.
The list below shows the mix of house sizes on this project:
- Two (3-Bedroom 4-person houses) - which are available as Shared Equity
- Two (4-Bedroom 6-person houses) - which are available as Shared Equity
- Two (2-Bedroom 3-Person houses)
- Two (3-Bedroom 4-Person houses)
All properties are timber kit construction with external timber cladding. The heating is supplied via air source heat pumps and all properties have Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery.
The estimated completion date for this development is January 2024.
