Tenants Help With Website Development

May 3rd 2013

When we decided to develop a new website, we were keen to involve tenants in every step of the process. We had already asked all of our tenants to let us know if they would be interested in getting involved in various areas of our work and so we contacted some of those who had expressed in interest in 'communication' to form a focus group to work on the website development. The focus group that also included some of our staff , first met to hear presentations from the companies who had tendered for the contract to provide the new website and to choose the successful bid. The group was involved in giving input and feedback to the development of the new website as well as testing the final design.

The new website is far more interactive than the previous one, you can now request a repair, give feedback and make complaints on line as well as accessing information on the services provided by the Association, the One Stop Shop and other housing options available in Shetland.

This year there will be another opportunity for tenants to work with us this time on updating the Tenant Handbook, anyone who would be interested in getting involved should contact us.
