How to Make a Payment
Find helpful advice on how to pay for rent and how to set up a direct debit.
If you ever find that you’re having difficulty paying, please let us know immediately. It’s never a good idea to let arrears build up, because it can be a source of real stress and it’s also a breach of your tenancy agreement that could lead to the loss of your home. If you’re having difficulties or are worried about your finances, we’ll do our best to help, please take a look at our Debt Advice leaflet.
We have made it as easy as we can for you to pay your rent. You can use any of the methods listed below:
|Direct Debit from your bank account||Payments can be made monthly or weekly. You can download the direct debit form here, or we can send you one. With a direct debit, we can collect the right amount of money, whether your rent has gone up or down, so that you won’t have to fill in more forms.|
|Standing Order from your bank account||Again, payments can be made monthly or weekly. However, the standing order is for a fixed amount, so if your payments change you’d need to fill in a new form. You can download the Standing Order Form here. Please contact the Association for your tenancy reference number prior to completing the form.|
|Cash or cheque||We’re happy to accept cash or a cheque at our office, or you can send a cheque through the post, to the address below.|
|You can use a debit card at our office, or you can phone us with the card details. The number you need is 01595 694986.|
|Online payment||If you have online banking you can make a payment direct from your account to ours. Our bank details are Account Number - 00360064 and Sort Code - 80-08-82. NB - please remember to put the first line of your address as a reference.|
|Housing Benefit or Universal Credit||If you are unable to work or are on a low income, you may be entitled to assistance to cover the cost of your rent. If you are a new claimant, and of working age, you will need to apply for Universal Credit. To do this, you can visit www.gov.uk/universalcredit. If you feel you may qualify for Housing Benefit, their team can be contacted on 01595 744 682 or email@example.com.|
