Health & Safety Manager

Salary £36,858 - £40,131 (including island allowance and essential car user allowances), the Association operates a contributory occupational pension scheme.

As the Health & Safety Manager you will act as the first point of contact to provide advice and interpretation of Health & Safety legislation, regulations and code of practice. You will ensure that systems are in place and carry out necessary inspections, assessments and maintain all registers, records, logbooks and certificates in relation to Health and Safety. You will carry out periodic audits of internal working practices and procedures. Carry out periodic inspections of Associations buildings, plant and vehicles to ensure compliance, testing safety critical items such as heat and smoke detectors, emergency lighting, the operation of fire doors, water, etc. You will arrange and partake in Management Committee Meetings and provide appropriate reports and updates. You will support managers of the Association to establish and maintain a positive health and safety culture and co-ordinate the provision of Health & Safety training for Association staff with the aim of ensuring that adequate and appropriate training is provided.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required: -

You will have extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and practical experience as well as up to date knowledge on COSHH, Manual Handling, Codes of practice and risk assessment. You will have a current industry recognised qualification, accredited by IOSH (e.g. NEBOSH diploma, NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health & Safety Practice). Applicants must have 3 years’ experience in a relevant environment.

Housing Admin Assistant

Salary £23,234 - £26,001 (including island allowance), the Association operates a contributory occupational pension scheme.

As a Housing Administration Assistant you will act as the first point of contact to provide help and advice to our tenants. Working within the Housing Services team, you will play a key role in the delivery of a comprehensive housing and reception service while also providing the Chief Executive and corporate support including maintaining records, and assisting in providing public relations support.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required: -

You will be educated to standard grade level (minimum 4 standard grades, including English) or equivalent and must have excellent communication skills, strong organisational and administrative skills with experience of working in an office based environment with members of the public. You must also have experience in Windows based software and be proficient with Word and Excel.
