Technical Officer – Full time Permanent Position
Salary £32,276 - £34,958 (including island allowance and essential car user allowances), the Association operates a contributory occupational pension scheme.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required: -
The successful applicant will be working within the Housing team to deliver high quality and cost effective maintenance service to the Associations tenants. We are looking for a time served tradesperson with at least six years’ experience in the construction industry that has a good knowledge of building defects and construction methods. The work includes: liaising with tenants, diagnosing building defects, identifying remedies, carrying out energy surveys on properties and offering advice and support to tenants, supervising contractors and overseeing reactive and planned maintenance contracts. Other duties will include providing a Clerk of Works service on the Association’s construction contracts.
The successful applicant will be articulate and diplomatic, self-reliant, and be able to work satisfactorily under pressure. Experience of undertaking stock condition surveys and using computer applications is essential. Due to the dispersed nature of the housing stock the use of a car and driving licence is also essential.
