Current Vacancies
Finance Assistant – Full time or Part Time (minimum 28 hours per week) Permanent Position
Finance Assistant (Career Graded) – Full/Part Time (28 to 35 hours per week) Permanent Position.
Salary on a scale PA12-16 (Grade 4/5) £33,271 - £37,993 (including island allowance) pro rata. In addition to the salary and allowances the Association operates a contributory occupational pension scheme.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the Association, ensuring accurate records, strong financial controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key duties will include:
- Processing invoices, payments and other financial transactions
- Maintaining financial records, purchase orders and control systems
- Supporting bank reconciliations, payment runs and direct debits
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries and ensure timely payments
- Assisting with income processes and financial administration
- Supporting audit requirements and wider finance team activities
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a finance or administrative role
- Is confident using IT systems including Excel and accounting software
- Has strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities
- Communicates clearly and works well both independently and as part of a team
- A minimum of 4 National 5s (or equivalent) is required, with further qualifications such as AAT desirable.
This is a career graded post, offering progression from Grade 4 to Grade 5 as experience, qualifications and competencies develop.
