Low-Cost Home Ownership properties - Berryview Scalloway Phase 2

We have a number of properties available for purchase under our New Supply Shared Equity Scheme. The scheme provides support to help people on low to moderate incomes to purchase a brand-new home.

The development at ‘Berryview’, Scalloway comprises of the following;

• 2 x three-bedroom, four person houses – valued at £190,000, but available for purchase from £114,000 (subject to meeting the terms and conditions of the Shared Equity scheme)

• 2 x four-bedroom, six person houses - valued at £220,000, but available for purchase from £132,000 (subject to meeting the terms and conditions of the Shared Equity scheme)

This scheme is a low-cost homeownership initiative. A financial assessment is undertaken, and the prospective owner must be able to finance between 60% to 80% of the value of the property. The Scottish Government will retain an equity share in the property for the remaining percentage.

All properties have an EPC Rating ‘B’ and come with NHBC Buildmark Choice Warranty.
