The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland

We are delighted to announce we are now members of The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland, an innovative, tenant and resident safety network.

This will allow the Association to continue to provide a focus on tenant safety:

• Putting tenant safety first
• Use current and new legislation to keep tenants safe
• Continue to meet the tenant safety required standards
• Champion good tenant safety practice

The Associations Health and Safety Manager, Elizabeth Sinclair, commented, “We are really looking forward to working with The Social Housing Safety Network Scotland.

“The Associations key focus is around landlord safety compliance, whether that is Fire, Asbestos, Water Hygiene, LPG Gas, Electrical, Lifts or Damp and Mould. We want to support tenants to understand their responsibilities and be clear about what the Association undertakes to ensure that our tenants are safe in their homes, and community.

“We are determined to have a fully active and reactive approach to tenant health and safety, whether that be at home or within the community”.
